New Banner Alert: Say Hello to our New and Improved 450gsm banner material!

We are thrilled to announce that we have upgrade our banner offering! We’ve partnered with Simply to bring you a revamped, new & improved version of our banner material, now featuring significant enhancements in durability, strength, and print quality. This new material will be replacing our old laminated 440gsm frontlit with a 450gsm coated banner Here’s what you need to know:

Old vs. New: Key Material Differences

Previous Version: 440gsm Frontlit Banner

- Material: Laminated
- Construction: Knitted, 500x300 Denier, 18x12 Weaving

Key Characteristics:
Laminated Material: Offers basic durability but tends to wear down faster, especially in outdoor environments.
Lighter Scrim: Thinner threads mean less strength and stability, making it more prone to tears.
Surface Smoothness: The less smooth surface can impact print quality, particularly for high-resolution graphics.

New Version: 450gsm Frontlit Banner

- Material: Coated
- Construction: Woven, 1000x1000 Denier, 18x18 Weaving

Key Characteristics:
Coated Material: Provides greater strength and durability, ideal for outdoor use and     more resistant to environmental factors.
Heavier Scrim: Thicker threads contribute to improved tear resistance and longer lasting performance.
Denser Weave: Offers a smoother surface that enhances print quality, ensuring sharper, more vibrant images.
Soft & Smooth Feel: Easier to handle during installation, making it a win-win for both installers and customers.

What This Means for You

Increased Durability:

The new 450gsm coated banner outperforms its predecessor in terms of wear and tear, particularly in outdoor settings. Its robust construction ensures longer-lasting results even in challenging conditions.

Improved Print Quality:

The smoother surface of the new banner allows for crisper and more vivid printed images, delivering a superior visual impact for any application.

Ease of Use:

Thanks to its softer material, the new banner is easier to install and manipulate, reducing the time and effort required during setup.

Enhanced Performance:

Whether used for small or large-scale installations, the new 450gsm banner guarantees improved long-term performance and resistance to tearing and fading.

Laminated Banners

Laminated banners, like our old 440gsm version, involve layering a PVC film over a knitted or woven scrim. While this process is cost-effective, laminated banners tend to degrade more quickly when exposed to outdoor elements such as wind, rain, and sunlight. They’re also more susceptible to tearing at stress points, making them less ideal for long-term outdoor use.

Coated Banners

In contrast, the new 450gsm banner uses a coated construction method, where the PVC is pressed into the scrim fibres. This creates a stronger, more durable bond that’s resistant to delamination and tearing. The result is a banner that withstands outdoor exposure much better, making it a superior choice for long-term use in demanding conditions.

Technical Specifications:

Denier and Weave

Denier: This measures the thickness of the threads in the scrim. Our new 450gsm banner has a denier of 1000x1000, compared to the 500x300 in the old 440gsm version. This translates to thicker, more durable threads that enhance the banner’s strength.

Weave: The tighter weave in the new banner (18x18 compared to 18x12) offers a stronger structure that can better handle stress from outdoor conditions, such as wind and heavy rain.

Feel & Usability

The new 450gsm banner has a softer, more flexible feel, making it easier to handle during installation. Its smoother surface provides a better foundation for printing high-quality images and graphics, making it ideal for high-impact advertising and promotional displays. The improved base fabric also makes the banner more stable during printing, ensuring consistent results.

Our new 450gsm frontlit banner is a significant upgrade over the previous 440gsm version, offering enhanced durability, better print quality, and superior performance in various applications. For more details or specific inquiries, feel free to reach out to our team!
